Hello, I am Abdirahman Abzi. I’m a native speaker of Somali and have been teaching the language since 2019. I also run the ‘Somali with Abzi’ platform. In this course, I will guide you through the fundamental principles of reading and writing the Somali language(Af Soomaali).

This course is ideal for anyone who struggles with written Somali, whether communicating with family, preparing for exams, or pursuing personal writing projects like blogs or narratives. Even if you can’t read or write a single Somali letter, this course will equip you with the necessary skills.

The curriculum consists of five modules, each containing five lessons, for a total of 25 structured lessons with over three hours of video content. Each lesson includes an assignment. A companion book provides audio files, over 30 dictation/spelling tests, and 15+ writing prompts.
