“The complete guide to Somali writing and reading” is a great way to learn, listen, and practice your pronunciation in the Somali language. Starting from the alphabet, moving on to forming words, and then reading and hearing sentences and stories. For me, a non-native Somali speaker with little understanding of the language, the material suits me very well as I’m able to hear a native speaker pronounce the letters and words, while I’m reading the book.
The book would definitely get a 5/5 if it was fully translated to English, for example the different sheeko. But there are a total of 200 words translated to English in the alphabet lessons, which is really awesome and expands ones vocabulary a lot.
